Blink 182 Says Tom DeLonge Wants Out of the Band

Blink 182's Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus are opening up about their former bandmate, Tom DeLonge. The duo is reportedly very disappointed with Tom but it's not because he decided to quit the band, but because he asked his team to do the quitting for him.
On Monday, Blink-182 announced that Tom officially wanted out of the band. Tom quickly denied the claims on his social media accounts but in a new interview, Travis and Mark again explained that he did quit-he just asked another person to do it for him.

Travis told Rolling Stone magazine, "It's hard to cover for someone who's disrespectful and ungrateful." Referring to Tom. "You don't even have the balls to call your band mates and tell them you're not going to record or do anything Blink-related," Travis added. "You have your manager do it."
Travis and Mark further revealed in their interview that Tom had his manager send them an email, which said, direct quote, "Tom. Is. Out."
This is not the first time that Tom disappointed his former band mates. Travis and Mark said that they have been desperately wanting to create a new album for two years but Tom didn't want to record without a record label, meaning he does not want to invest any of his money into the album.
"It feels humiliating to be in a band where you have to be apologizing for one person all the time. That's how it's felt for a long time," Mark remarked.
However, Mark said that it was a relief when Tom finally confirmed that he was done with the band. Because now, at least he and Travis can move on and start with their own new record.
