Chris Pratt Being Eyed for Lead Role in Indiana Jones Remake: Report

Chris Pratt is the new Harrison Ford-at least in the upcoming Indiana Jones series as it was revealed that the 35-year-old actor is being eyed to play the lead role in the Disney remake, Deadline revealed the news.

While the studio still hasn't made any official confirmations with regards to Platt's casting as the film's lead, Pratt's fans have already gone crazy when rumors went in that their idol has that high chance of getting cast into the role of the whip-wielding archaeologist.

"I mean HELL YES!!! @prattprattpratt is perfect!," one fan tweeted.

"Chris Pratt as the new Indiana Jones!? Please let this happen. This guy is KILLING it!!" another fan, while still another posted: "Been saying this for a while now... great idea @prattprattpratt."

And it was not only celebrities who were excited about Pratt's bagging the coveted role-even celebrities also aired their excitement!

"I mean HELL YES!!! @prattprattpratt is perfect!" Josh Gad tweeted, followed by Sarah Hyland who retweeted his tweet, adding: "YES!!!!!!"

Starting out as a waiter at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, Pratt's first movie was in the horror movie Cursed Part 3, which was followed by a regular role on the TV series Everwood, followed by a role on the fourth season of The O.C.

Pratt's popularity rose with his role as the dimwitted but Andy Dwyer on the NBC comedy Parks and Recreation, followed by leading roles in the 2014 blockbuster films The Lego Movie and Guardians of the Galaxy. The same year, he was also hailed as the #2 on People's annual list of Sexiest Men Alive.
