Actresses Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon will all star in the all-female reboot of highly successful 80s film Ghostbusters, the film's director Paul Feig announced on Twitter.
Feig decided it would look OK if he adds a radical twist on the new version by casting women as the film's lead.

Feig has earlier collaborated with McCarthy and Wiig in the successful comedy film Bridesmaids, while Jones and McKinnon are on Saturday Night Live, together with Ghostbusters original casts Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray.
The film's shooting with begin this summer in New York.
Another interesting thing about the movie is that the leading ladies were all above 30.
The Ghostbusters reboot has been beset with initial complication as the planned sequel did not materialize after Bill Murray declined to reprise his role and with Harold Ramis' death.
After Feig was offered to direct the film he decided to cast female actors on the lead roles.
"I love the first one so much I don't want to do anything to ruin the memory of that," Feig said in an interview with Hollywood Reporter.
That is why he just to start from scratch and a brand new cast so "we can have new dynamics," citing his plans to use the latest technology to make the film even cooler.
"I want it to be really scary, and I want it to happen in our world today," he said.
However, the decision to cast an all-female lead did not sound quite too agreeable to some, including Ernie Hudson, star of the original film, who said: "If it has nothing to do with the other two movies, and it's all female, then why are you calling it Ghostbusters?"
"But all-female I think would be a bad idea. I don't think the fans want to see that," he said.
Bill Murray, however, was interested to see the female cast: "It sounds great to me. I would watch it."
