Depp owns the 45-acre island, which beaches were named after his kids, 15-year-old Lily-Rose and 12-year-old Jack, and after his idols, Hunter S. Thompson and Marlon Brando.
The 51-year old Depp first met Heard, 28, in 2011 on the set of The Rum Diary. But it wasn't until 2012 that the two started dating, following Depp's breakup with longtime partner Vanessa Paradis.
In January 2014, People learned from sources that the two have gotten engaged.
In December 2014, rumors circulated that they have split, which remained unfounded and eventually quashed after they kissed at the 8th Annual Heaven Gala in Los Angeles this January.
Depp sparked the marriage rumors when he was seen wearing what seemed to be a traditional wedding ring while on a press work for his latest film, Mordecai.
With shooting of Mordecai now done, this is the perfect time for Depp to get married before filming of the Pirates of the Caribbean movie commences.
According to The New York Post, which broke the news of the upcoming wedding, guests would be spending the weekend aboard a yacht.
