The camouflaged Model X looks similar to a Toyota Prius and the video shows quite fast speeds up and down the runway. Some claim this could be the early testing for the Model 3, but others are quite certain this is the Model X.
Tesla's Model X will be a seven seater that offers the functionality of a minivan, the design of an SUV and the performance of a sports car, according to Musk.
It will be available for around US$35,000 before tax credits for buying an electric car. Musk is hoping the Model X will give Tesla much more consumer demand since the car should offer a more affordable price point for families.
One of the key features of the Model X is the 'falcon doors', a new innovation from Tesla that offers more space with less door traction. Tesla is also promising lots of storage for the customer by removing a lot of the clunky gasoline parts that are not needed.
Even though the Model S has won over a lot of customers, the Model X will be Tesla's first battle in the mainstream car market.
The Model 3 will reportedly come around 2017 to 2018 according to Tesla, and will compete against the BMW 3 series and other sedan type cars.
