It's no secret that the launch of the Xbox One in China hasn't quite lived up to the expectations of Microsoft. One of the biggest problems with the release was China restricting most of the Xbox-exclusive games, but that could soon change when "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" comes to the country.

Microsoft officially launched its Xbox One in China in September, marking the first time a game console released in the country in over 10 years due to a ban by Chinese government. But the tech giant has been receiving a number of issues since its launch.
Microsoft initially sparked controversy among Chinese consumers when it announced that it would be raising its console price to $600. And to make matters worse, there were certain restrictions that essentially made it impossible to sell used games.
The company only launched 100,000 consoles with just 10 available game titles, and so far the company hasn't released any sales figures - a good indication that things aren't going too well. However, Microsoft could be looking to change its success around by getting popular titles approved in China.
"We're currently putting great effort into bringing Halo: The Master Chief Collection to China, and we've already made obvious progress on that front," Microsoft's Xbox China CEO Xie Enwei said. "We'll share new information on that with everyone as soon as possible."
The Halo franchise is Microsoft's bestseller by a wide margin. "Halo" and "Halo 2" were the most sold games on the original Xbox, "Halo 3" sold the most on the Xbox 360, and "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" is currently the most sold game on the Xbox One.
"Halo: MCC" being launched in China would certainly have an impact on the Xbox One sales for Microsoft. Especially considering the game is a collection of all main Halo installments allowing Chinese gamers to start its story from the beginning.
Additionally, multiplayer gaming is huge in China, and "Halo: MCC" implements over 100 remastered maps from each main Halo installment.
It'll certainly be interesting to see how much of an impact the release of the game would have and whether it'll be enough to turn Microsoft's success around.
