Henan Grannies Stir Peace with their Naked Plea

Four Henan grannies stripped down in protest in front of the US Embassy in Beijing at 10 AM yesterday with grievances over their activist sons and daughters' rights written all over their bodies.
The naked elderly protesters were covered with phrases such as "Corrupt officials in Henan are livestocks!" and were holding placards stating "to cry out for our sons and daughters" and "yuan" or 'grievance'.

The four grandmothers from the city of Xinyang in Henan province include 65-year-old Xing Jiaying, 66-year-old He Zeying, 73-year-old Tian Guirong and 68-year-old Zhang Fengmei whose children were human rights activists.
Their protest was centralized on the capture of their children who were allegedly suffering torture and mistreatment while under illegal detention after voicing their grievances to the government through letters and calls.
Their children's pleas against corruption in Henan resulted in 18 years of illicit detention, one of the parents said.
After stirring the quiet in the area, the four grannies were whisked away by police officers covering their bodies with a blue cloth.
On May 25, Xing Jiaying and He Zeying have also conducted a similar demonstration near Tiananmen Square and were detained for 'disturbing public order'. Also, they have been reported to have rallied at the entrance of the Ministry of Justice in Beijing.
