Diane Sawyer has secured a very exclusive interview with Bruce Jenner to discuss his recent decision to transition from male to female.

According to a reliable source who is reportedly close to the 69-year old ABC News veteran, her interview with the former U.S. track and field athlete comes as no surprise since, "Diane has always been very supportive of the LGBT community."

It has been previously reported that the E! Network has reached out to GLAAD for certain guidelines on how to tackle delicate subjects such as this, and Diane, securing the interview works because, the source adds that "She has been honored by GLAAD."

Kris Jenner's ex-husband's interview is set to air in May, as reported by Page Six. And segments of the interview are scheduled to start filming sometime this week.

Aside from his much-anticipated interview with Diane, Bruce's journey chronicling his life changes can also be watched through his own E! docuseries. A source revealed, "The world will see his full transformation. It's a docuseries featuring the Jenner family talking about Bruce 'coming out'".

Viewers are also looking forward to the season 10 premiere of Keeping Up With The Kardashians since it has been reported that Bruce will open up about his desire to transition with his family in the series.

While the motivational speaker is nearing his scheduled announcement, he has been seen out and about confidently sporting painted nails, longer hair, fuller lips and earrings.

Sources say that Bruce has all of his family's support including daughters Kendall and Kylie, sons Brody and Brandon and stepdaughters, Kim, Kourtney and Khloe.

An insider told Us, "They all have become protective of him and just want him to live the way he wants."

In an interview last week with Kim, she claimed that his stepdad looks extremely happy and said, "I think everyone goes through things in life, and I think that story and what Bruce is going through, I think he'll share whenever the time is right. I feel like that's his journey to talk about."
