Now that rumors are really in about Bruce Jenner's gender transforming, his mother, Esther, has been bombarded by questions about her son. The 88-year-old Lewiston, Idaho, local, however, shunned any request to fuel gossip. However, in an hour-long interview with Associated Press, the proud mother only had the best praises for her Olympian son.

While 65-year-old Bruce Jenner, had not opened up about his transition to becoming a woman, the 1976 1976 Summer Games gold-winning decathlete has recently look like she's a traditional female already.
"It was brief and I said I was proud of him and that I'll always love him," Mrs. Jenner said.
She went on to saying that she was proud when he won the gold medal in 1976, but he couldn't be even prouder than now because it "takes a lot of courage to do what he's doing."
Mrs. Jenner also said that her son is not hiding her identity and is not ashamed of it.
"He said, 'Mom, I'm still the same person.' He said, 'I'm still going to race cars, I'm still going to fly airplanes and I'm going to get my helicopter license,'" she explained.
Of course, Mrs. Jenner was at first surprised when she learned about his decision to become a female.
"It was a shock. It's hard to wrap your mind around it, she said, but the "family is close and very supportive of Bruce and we're supportive of each other."
She also mentioned that she and her son had a heart to heart talk when he opened up to her.
"I am at peace with what he is and what he's doing," she said.
