Taylor Swift's 1989 album returned to No. 1 on Billboard's album chart, selling 71,000 records and enjoying 302,000 downloads, placing it on the top spot for the 10th non-consecutive weeks, data from Nielsen Music can reveal.
The album, which was released in October, has already sold over 4.1 million copies and never leaving the top 2 spot, despite the fact that it is not available for download on Spotify, making it, perhaps, the best-selling release of the year.

1989's single, "Shake It Off," has receive three Grammy nominations for record and song of the year and for best solo pop performance.
Aside from Swift, only pop legend Whitney Houston was the only other female singer to nudge the same achievement, actually charting double-figure weeks for three of her albums: her self-titled debut, which remained on the chart for 14 weeks in 1986, her second album, Whitney, which remained 11 weeks in 1987, and The Bodyguard soundtrack, which stayed on top for 20 weeks in 1992 and 1993).
Only five other acts were able to stay on charts for 10 weeks at number one: The Beatles (four time), The Kingston Trio (three time), Henry Mancini (two times), The Monkees (two times) and Elvis Presley (three times).
Swift's come back to No. 1 made it impossible for Ed Sheeran's X from landing at number one, while Meghan Trainor's Title, which stole the top spot from 1989 last month, is now down to No. 3. Last week's number one, Fall Out Boy's American Beauty/American Psycho, is now on No. 6.
It's been a low-selling week all in all, as Ed Sheeran's X, which received the album of the year, nod from the Grammy's, leaped from No. 4 to No. 2, with over 74,000 album units sold.
Meghan Trainor's Title is on No. 3, with 68,000 units, while Sam Smith, who leads the Grammy nominees with six nominations soared to No. 4 with In the Lonely Hour.
Ne-Yo's Non-Fiction made its debut on No. 5.
