After dropping the first set, the two-time Wimbledon champion Nadal kept his composure and eventually closing out the match on the fourth set with a final score 6(4)-7(7) 6-1 6-1 6-1.
28-year-old Rafa now faces Australian teen Nick Kyrgios who defeated 13th seed Frenchman Richard Gasquet in the second round and Czech Jiri Vesely 3-6 6-3 7-5 6-2 in the third round.
19-year-old wild card and ranked No. 144 Kyrgios said after his match against Vesely: "I'm overwhelmed with happiness. Making my fourth round (debut) at a Grand Slam and the opportunity to play Rafa hopefully on Centre Court, but it's an opportunity I'm just going to embrace."
"To come back from a set down, it's really good for me, but I take a lot of confidence out of that, as well," Kyrgios added.
"Of course I have nothing to lose out there. Anything is possible. I'm just going to go out there and play my game," Kyrgios said. "I think that's definitely enough to be competitive."
Meanwhile, seven-time Wimbledon champion Swiss Roger Federer disposed his opponent Santiago Giraldo of Colombia in three straight sets 6-3 6-1 6-3 in a match that lasted 81 minutes.
It's been a walk in a park for 32-year-old Federer so far having won all of his matches in three straight sets.
"I'm pleased, absolutely," said Federer after the match. "It's been a good first week for me. I've been playing well, feeling good. Didn't drop any sets. Wasn't really in danger in any of the matches. Got a lot of info from the first week on how I need to play moving forward."
Federer will now go up against Spaniard Tommy Robredo who won against 15th seed Polish Jerzy Janowicz in five sets 6-2 6-4 6-7(5) 4-6 6-3.
The round of 16 is almost set for the gentlemen as only one match needs to be determined if who will be the final player to advance to the fourth round and that is the match between 10th seed Japanese Kei Nishikori and Italian Simone Bolelli.
