'Datuk' Jackie Chan Shares Experience in Malaysia

Hong Kong actor and newly proclaimed 'Datuk' Jackie Chan reveals that he is not only proud of his title but is also delighted to know that he is loved by Malaysians of all races, The Star Malaysia reports.
Chan recently accepted his award from Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah, this is also in concurrence with Federal Territory Day in Malaysia according to Stomp Strait Times

"I know a lot of artistes have only Chinese fans here in Malaysia. But I am special, I have Indian and Malay fans too. When I am here, they treat me like I am a Malaysian. I like bak kut teh," said the 60 year old actor.
"But most important of all, I have a lot of good friends here. So I like this place," Chan further added.
Chan, who deemed that he was one of the first Hong Kong stars to receive the award, promises to contribute more to Malaysian society through entertainment and arts.
"I am really honored with the award from Malaysia. I have done a lot of work in the country, but I never thought of getting any reward. If I have a chance, I will go to every part of Southeast Asia that needs me," Chan told the press at Subang Airport, before boarding his private jet after the investiture ceremony at Istana Negra.
The actor also gave his utmost gratitude to the Malaysian government and its people for their infinite love and support.
