The 87-year old actor wrote, "Being 007 is not without its hazards. I'm available to step in if needed."

Before fans could start worrying, Roger immediately posted a new tweet after a few hours saying that Daniel would resume filming on February 7. He tweeted, "I'm hanging my safari suit back in the wardrobe."

According to the newspaper, The Guardian, the current James Bond was filming an intense fight scene when the injury happened and that even the extras were sent home. A spokesperson revealed that Daniel would be back on set and would be "filming on Saturday as planned."

The Hollywood Reporter reached out to Eon Productions, the producer of the Bond film but it has yet to make a comment.

Spectre will be Daniel's fourth time to play James Bond and Sam Mendes second film in the series to direct.

The synopsis of the film has also long beenconfirmed. According to the official James Bond 007 website, "A cryptic message from Bond's past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE."

Spectre also features Christoph Waltz, Monica Bellucci, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harries and Ben Whishaw. The movie is scheduled to hit movie theaters on October 23 in the U.K. and on November 6 in the U.S.
