Did John Mayer just diss the darling Taylor Swift? Six years has passed since John and Taylor broke up, however, after hosting a late night show, the "Who You Love" singer seemingly thinks that there is still bitterness between them.

John guest hosted last Friday night's  "The Late Late Show" on CBS and discussed the upcoming Grammys. But instead of talking about what he is going to wear or whether or not Taylor Swift's "frenemy" Katy Perry will be his date, he cracked a joke that left viewers a little shocked.

John poked fun at his publicized breakup with Taylor, which allegedly was Taylor's inspiration for her song "Dear John". In the middle of talking about the Grammys, John blurted out, "You can see me at the Grammys doing what I do best. Being avoided by Taylor Swift." He continued, "That won't make the Internet at all."

Wonder if Taylor and on-again girlfriend, Katy's long-going feud is what incited that jab? There is a never-ending gossip going around that Taylor and Katy keep on throwing shade at each other due to a misunderstanding over their backup dancers and here's hoping that John did not add fuel to the fire, especially now that he and Katy are reportedly back together.

John has been invited to guest host "The Late Late Show" while waiting for the debut of new host James Corden on March 23. Several celebrities have also been invited until James finally arrives.

Last Wednesday, John sparked rumors that he and Katy have gotten back together after he brought Katy's famous Super Bowl sharks as his guests. If he indeed brings Katy as his date to the Grammys, there is no doubt that running into Taylor will be a little awkward for them. Hopefully they learned a little thing or two from Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie's synchronization at this year's Critics' Choice Awards.
