After breaking his left leg during his fight with Chris Weidman, Anderson “The Spider” Silva welcomes the idea of putting up a fight with Nick Diaz when he returns to the UFC's octagon in 2015.
According to a recent interview in Rio de Janeiro, The Spider confirmed that he will not be able to compete this year saying he’s "not feeling safe to return (in 2014)," but the idea of fighting Diaz, a former welterweight title contender who is currently retired, is an interesting one,

"It could be an interesting fight," Silva told in a recent interview with Guilherme Cruz. "Well, if everybody is saying that it would be an interesting fight, what am I going to say?"
Dana White, UFC president, has not yet disclosed when exactly in 2015 will Silva return. He said that it could be on the first quarter of 2015 or in December.
Picking Nick Diaz as Silva’s first potential opponent in his comeback fight next year is something that Silva and his camp are interested in and said that Diaz’ camp feels the same way. White will agree on the Silva-Diaz fight if both parties wanted it.
On June 20, The Spider started to spar for the first time after his injury and commented that he felt better. On the other hand, during the sparring, he did not throw any leg kicks yet as he used to.
Anderson Silva mentioned that he feels insecure about his movements during training after the injury.
"I’m training, and it’s helping me a lot in training," Silva said. "But I’m a little insecure about my movements, so I’m just kicking from the waist up.”
