While many scientists and citizens worry over the effect artificial intelligence will have on people's jobs and productivity, Reverend Christopher Benek is concerned with converting these advance lifeforms to Christianity.
Benek reasons that if the artificially intelligent and autonomous robots are indeed what their labels suggest, then they should be encouraged to join religion.

As the associate pastor of Providence Presbyterian Church in Florida, Banek believes that advanced lifeforms such as artificially intelligent robots should be welcomed into the fold of Christianity.
Banek explained he doesn't see God's love as limited to only human beings. He says Christ's redemption is for all of creation. This includes artificial intelligence.
To shed more light on the belief of converting robots to Christianity, Banek hones in on the autonomous nature of AI.
If they are indeed autonomous and act on their own accord and with their own will, he muses they should be encouraged to participate in Christ's redemptive purposes in the world.
He even goes one step further and posits that AI could possibly bring people to new levels of holiness.
For years, the issue of AI and robots has excited people both for while also making them fearful of the consequences. One such consequence is an autonomous AI that ends up dominating humanity like in the "Terminator" films.
Renowned physicist Stephen Hawking and entrepreneur Elon Musk pledged last January they'/d ensure it does not come to that. They are focused on making sure the development of artificial intelligence will benefit rather than hinder mankind.
In a statement, the two bright minds outlined the multiple points as to how AI could benefit us.
Their belief that AI will benefit mankind is grounded on the belief that "everything civilization has to offer is a product of human intelligence."
Banek says that they overlooked one key aspect.
"Hawking is ignoring that the vast number of the world's human beings consider themselves to be spiritual beings and how that has positively affected the world."
