Animal lovers around the globe are up in arms after a Texas teenage cheerleader- turned-extreme-hunting-enthusiast posted several photos on her Facebook page showing her with dead big African game.
Nineteen-year-old Kendall Jones claims that the photos are proof of her dedication to game preservation as well as a testament to her extreme hunting skills, but critics don't seem to be buying it.

Animal enthusiasts are calling the Texas Tech cheerleader sick and depraved for participating in the hunting of African animals for pure sport.
A petition to have Ms. Jones remove the photos from her social media sites is currently underway and has garnered over 40,000 signatures in just a week.
Several photos have resulted in a particularly high amount of ire; one shows the young hunter standing behind an extremely endangered rhino beaming and holding a rifle, while another features her holding up a dead near-threatened African leopard, and yet a third shows her with a dead elephant.
Jones has defended her photos and labeled her kills as "fair chases." The university student also said that the meat from the elephant she slaughtered would go to feeding local villagers.
However, Jones also reportedly wants to bag the Big 5 African game animals, which include elephant, leopard, Cape buffalo, lion and White/Black rhinoceros.
The rhinoceros, which the cheerleader shot is a White Rhinoceros, whose numbers range as low as 20,000.
As a result of Jones' obvious enthusiasm for killing rare game under the guise of conservationism, critics of the young woman have stated that she should be banned from hunting in Africa completely.
A second petition on change.org in South Africa is hoping to accomplish just that. The petition points to Jones' dubious reasons for hunting the rare game. The petition claims that Jones uses endangered and helpless African animals as a stepping stone to having a hunting show on televisions.
