Seven government workers were killed while another 14 were injured when the coach they were boarding in overturned in east China's Shandong Province last Monday, authorities announced early today.
The casualties belong to a group of passengers who are employees of the Mengshan Tourism Administration in Linyi City, a prefecture-level city in the south of Shandong Province.

The passengers were on their way to check for risks of forest fire, a routine patrol checking to protect tourists and residents, when the accident occurred.
It was still not know how the coach overturned as authorities said the cause of the accident is being investigated.
Three of the government workers died on the spot after they were pinned by the coach while another four where rushed to the hospital for severe injuries but were declared dead on arrival.
Rescuers and local government officials, which rushed to the accident, said the injured government workers are in stable condition in hospital.
The official Xinhua news agency reported the accident based on sketchy reports.
Early this month, five people were killed and other eight were injured when a truck crashed head on with a bus in southwest China's Yunnan Province.
The dead and the injured were all passengers of the bus, local authorities confirmed.
The accident happened when a truck collided with a coach on the Ruili section of the expressway that links Shanghai and Yunnan's Ruili City.
