The former Agent 007, Pierce Brosnan, is keen to join the team of Expendables franchise on its next installment.

Coming Soon, an entertainment website owned by CraveOnline, interviewed the former James Bond actor saying that if ever there is another installment of Sylvester Stallone’s Expendables, he would love to grab the role offered to him.

He jokingly said that it’s a franchise for ageing action heroes.

If everything works well between Brosnan’s camp and the Expendables’ team, he will be the first James Bond lead to work with the franchise.

Independent, an online edition of newspaper The Independent, says that movie-goers will see Brosnan working with the British actor Jason Statham.

The James Bond lead revealed to Shortlist Magazine that discussions regarding the role offered to him have already taken place with Avi Lerner, his “Survivor” producer.

"I said to Avi Lerner, 'If it works out and you have a good script, Avi, you know where to find me if you still want me.' It's as simple as that really," Brosnan said.

However, he doesn’t have an idea which Expendables installment he will be a part of.

The first two franchise of Expendables were released in 2010 and 2012. The third franchise will be released in August and Mel Gibson and Harrison Ford will join the cast.

Action stars like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jet Li, Jason Statham, and Sly are the main stars of the beloved action film franchise in the recent years.

Mr. Brosnan is looking forward and eager to work with Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li and Jason Statham.

On the other hand, The ExpendaBelles, a female-counterpart of the franchise, is brewing.
