Phil, who actually helped create their latest album Rock or Bust is scheduled to go on trial on April in New Zealand for drug possession and threatening to kill. Phil has been residing in New Zealand since 1983.

There were also news about him wanting to hire a hitman, but due to insufficient evidence, the prosecutors decided to drop the charge.

The album, Rock or Bust was just recently released in November and the band announced 25 concert dates in Europe which will kick off in the Netherlands on May 5. In a statement released by AC/DC they simply confirmed the news and said that, "Chris Slade will be on drums for the upcoming Rock or Bust World Tour."

Chris replacing Phil for the tour is the second major lineup change for the band. AC/DC's guitarist Malcolm Young, who is suffering from dementia has also been replaced by his nephew Stevie Young.
