Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov eliminated defending Wimbledon champion Andy Murray making him the first Bulgarian to reach the semi-finals in the 2014 Wimbledon Championships.

Dimitrov, 23, took a dominating lead as he cruises past two-time Grand Slam champion Murray 6-1 in the first set.

Murray made a comeback on the second set as he forces Dimitrov to a tie-break. But Dimitrov kept his composure and outlasted Murray with a series of service aces 7(7)-6(4).

The third set was all 11th seed Dimitrov as he hammers away down the line shots and also delivers on his on the net attacks with a final score of 6-2 under a shocked predominantly British crowd.

The keys to the match for Dimitrov are his powerful serves, producing 10 aces and 32 winners.

Dimitrov out best his record by becoming the first Bulgarian to reach the quarterfinals of Wimbledon. An achievement he has made after defeating Argentinean Leonardo Mayer.

After his match against Mayer, he was asked about his thoughts about his up-coming match against Murray. He replied that he can last five sets with him and would be a great feeling for him but he would rather have the scenario of defeating the defending champ in straight sets which he just did.

Dimitrov is the first man in the semi-finals and now awaits the winner of the match between top seed Serbian Novak Djokovic and Croatian Marin Cilic.

The other half of the quarterfinals bracket will begin Thursday with an all-Swiss cast featuring 5th seed Stan Wawrinka against seven-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer.

Also on the same bracket is a match that is creating a buzz between Australian teen sensation Nick Kyrgios and 8th seed Canadian Milos Raonic.

Kyrgios, 19, reached the quarterfinals after defeating World No. 1 and two-time Wimbledon champion Spaniard Rafael "Rafa" Nadal in a match that lasted two hours and 58 minutes.
