On Wednesday, Japan’s move to ease up the strict rule on its powerful military received negative comments and criticisms from China’s state-run media; stating that it’s a threat to Asian security.

Last Tuesday, the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said that the re-interpretation of its constitution in interdicting the use of military force except in crucial circumstances was endorsed by the Japanese cabinet.

Criticisms from China’s state-run media came up after the declaration of Shinzo Abe that their military possessed the right to choose battle defense of allies or "collective self-defense".

The Jiji Press, a wire service in Japan, said the collective self-defense is equally important as the Meiji Restoration. The modern Japan started in 1868 Meiji Restoration - ousting the feudalism under samurai warriors.

An editorial piece published in People's Daily, official newspaper of Communist Party, stated, "The Japanese government is eager to break through the post-war system."

Adding that the Japanese government’s plan is threatening and at the same time, a wake-up call.

A question raised by China's official Xinhua news agency for Tokyo, "Is China on your military agenda?"

Xinhua said that Japan has the competency to start sneaky attacks, citing example of launched wars to China, Russia and U.S.A. Adding that japan’s recent action will give them more freedom to use military force at any given time and the world should be more worried.

Global Times, a daily Chinese tabloid, released a cartoon on Wednesday, an Americanized Abe carrying a Japanese flag bandana on his head while utilizing a large machine gun.

It added, "China needs to expose the Japanese rightists' evil intent."
