Actor Jaycee Chan, son of kung fu movie star Jackie Chan, was finally released from his six month-jail term following drug offenses in China.
Jaycee Chan spent six months in prison after being found positive for marijuana and after police uncovered that he possessed over 100 grams of the drug in his Beijing apartment.

Mstones, the younger Chan's management company, revealed that the actor was released early Friday morning. He is slated to appear in a press conference on Saturday.
"He will make a formal public apology and give a full explanation," the company issued on a statement online.
Chan's sentence came only in January but the Beijing court considered that he was already spending time in jail since last summer.
The actor pled guilty for "hosting others to take drugs," and was fined 2,000 yuan (US$320).
Other than Jaycee Chan, a Taiwanese actor was also sentenced to jail following the heightened government crackdown on celebrity drug offenders.
Jackie Chan, meanwhile, who was named an anti-drugs ambassador in China in 2009, expressed his anger and disappointment over his son's actions.
"I failed to discipline him -- now the state is helping me discipline him and make him get rid all the bad habits," the 60-year-old Hollywood actor said in an interview with Xinhua news agency last December.
The elder actor also denied rumors that his son was granted treatment in jail.
Jaycee Chan's case was the highlight of Beijing's intensified efforts to fight the trafficking of illegal drugs. Before the end of 2014, Chinese authorities already detained over 10,000 people who were using drugs, twice 2013's figures.
