Quarrel During the Making of 'The Notebook' Revealed

Contrary to their steaming scenes in the movie adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel "The Notebook", Hollywood stars Ryan Gosling and Rachelle McAdams didn't actually like each other.
In fact, the male actor, playing the hopeless romantic Noah Calhoun, wanted his co-star 'kicked out' of the set during the shoot of the hit romance film of 2004.

Renowned movie Director Nick Cassavetes revealed in an interview during its 10th anniversary how he saved the movie from total destruction.
At a shoot where Gosling was doing a scene with McAdams and 150 other people, he suddenly went to the director asking him to replace the actress because he "can't do it with her."
The blonde actor complained that he and the red-head actress don't have any 'chemistry.' The Notebook, on the other hand, was often cited as one of the movies with the most intense chemistry between two actors.
Desperate for his actors to 'kick it off', Cassavetes organized an impromptu therapy session where he asked the two lead stars to come with him and a producer into a room to settle their dilemma.
"They started screaming at each other," Cassavetes continued, explaining that after the two got things out of their chests, things had been better.
Though the actors playing Noah and Allie continued their quarrel behind the camera, the two didn't show any indication of hatred for each other on-screen.
Later, Gosling and McAdams 'hit it off' in real life after wrapping up the movie in 2008. They dated for almost four years and later split up.
