Rapper Kanye West’s Fashion Week Presentation may have hit headlines, but that doesn’t mean it is drama-free.

Aside from daughter North’s documented tantrum in the front row, there was a misunderstanding when West chose Kylie Jenner instead of the first choice, Kendall, to grace the runway in West’s X Adidas show at the Skylight Clarkson Square last Thursday, according to Page Six.

West recently launched his Adidas sportswear and shoe collection. The crowd waited for almost 45 minutes before the launch actually commenced.

Kendall Jenner already made a commitment to walk in Alexander Wang’s Fall 2015 collection last Saturday, so it was inherent that she would decline doing the runway in Kanye’s show in order to fulfill her agreement with Wang.

Kendall already sat front row with Alexander Wang, which was interpreted by the media that she was already booked for Wang’s upcoming fashion show.

When Kendall was asked by her brother-in-law to participate in his show, Wang’s representatives already reacted, emphasizing that Kendall was already committed to walking the runway with them.

“Kendall made a deal. She has a job to do,” one source stated, expressing the fact that Kendall has to honor the bounds of her contract over family commitments.

“If you can’t get Kendall, then you get Kylie,” says West.

The 17 year old Kylie Jenner walked down the runway wearing an oversized jacket and sheer boy shorts.

Another close source to West stated that the first choice was Kylie and not Kendall. Since he was still able to use Kendall as a “fit model” because younger sister Kylie didn’t arrive in New York till a day before the show started.

“It was a whole controversial thing,” says another source from backstage.

Alexander Wang, who attended Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s wedding, was also seated in front row in Kanye West’s fashion show along with Anna Wintour, Beyonce and Rihanna.
