Corbin police found Kevin and Sarah Hendrix and their daughter Grace dead from gunshot wounds at their residence at 1212 Forest Circle Drive on Saturday afternoon in a routine welfare check.

Authorities reckon that one of them could have been dead since Wednesday, reports Kentucky.com. They will perform autopsy on the three bodies on Sunday.

However, there is still one family member, Elizabeth, who attends Berry College in Rome, Georgia. She has been informed of the tragedy that happened.

After Jason shot the three members of his family, the teen left home using his mother's SUV armed with a 9mm semiautomatic gun, two .38 caliber pistols, a double-barreled shotgun and a backpack full of ammunition and drove to Maryland, according to Corbin Police Chief David Campbell.

He said the three were shot in the head at least two times, and Jason seems to have used pillows to muffle the gunshot since the pillows were still on their faces.

Campbell said that Jason was angry at his parents for taking his computer rights away.

The police was pursuing a Honda Pilot with a Kentucky plate on Saturday. When the driver hit another car, the driver, Jason, open fired at the cops who shot the youth dead. The pursuit was prompted by failure of the driver to stop on Interstate 95 as instructed by a state trooper.

Campbell notes that a triple homicide was unusual for Corbin.
