Friends and relatives described him as a faithful churchgoer and high school ROTC student. But on Sunday, the 16-year-old boy allegedly killed his parents and younger sister in Kentucky.
Police at first where puzzled why such a young boy would shoot and wound a police officer last Saturday after he crashed his parent's green Honda Pilot into a silver sedan.

Left with no other option, the police fired back, fatally wounding Jason Hendrix, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Struck by the incident, the police immediately conducted an investigation that brought them to the teen's home, more than 500 miles away in Corbin, Kentucky.
The police were in for a much more surprising discovery - inside Hendrix's home were the bodies of Kevin and Sarah Hendrix, the parents of the 16-year-old boy, and Grace, 12, his sister.
The father was shot twice in the head. The mother was shot twice in the face and the 12-year-old girl was shot twice in the head and once in the arm.
"We believe the victims were gunned down Wednesday afternoon. Jason Hendrix then fled in his parent's car, armed with four weapons and a backpack full of ammunition," said Corbin Police Chief David Campbell.
All the evidences point to Hendrix as being the shooter.
Police investigators have no idea why Hendrix decided to flee to the East Coast, where the shootout occurred.
The police chief said Hendrix met up with friends at church that Wednesday evening and did not show any signs of distress.
"They said he was just like he usually is," Campbell said.
Hendrix had been in New Jersey on Thursday and was in Maryland Saturday. Police said they wanted to pull Hendrix over for a speeding violation but did not stop, resulting to a police chase.
What triggered the deadly fit of anger by a 16-year-old boy? Campbell said Hendrix was angry at his parents for taking away his computer privileges days before the killing.
The police chief said the mother told a co-worker that he was really mad when she took away his computer privileges.
