Following his box office hit film 'Miss Granny', Chinese singer-actor and former idol Lu Han will be returning on the big screen in the Chinese film 'I Am a Witness'.

In the midst of his legal battle with his former talent outfit, SM Entertainment, Lu will be making a comeback on the big screen with another film, 'I Am a Witness', which is the tentative title of the upcoming Chinese film that is based on the Korean film entitled 'Blind'.

The new film will be following the plot of the critically acclaimed 2011 Korean crime-thriller film which originally starred South Korean actors Yoo Seung Ho and Kim Ha Neul. The title of the new Chinese film is still tentative which means it's still subject to change, but it will soon be co-produced by Beijing-based New Clues Film along with Jaywalk Studio which is based in Shanghai.

According to media reports, Lu, who was chosen for his 'right age', athletic abilities and good looks, will be playing the lead male in the film alongside Chinese actress Yang Mi, who will portray a blind woman. The plot of the film involves two witnesses in a murder case, who would collaborate in order to find the culprit.

Since the Korean version won big awards during the 32nd Blue Dragon Film Awards and other accolades after its release, the public has high expectations on Lu and Yang.

On the one hand, 'I Am a Witness' is the second Korean-based film Lu will be starring in following 'Miss Granny' which was also an original Korean production.

The upcoming film is scheduled to start production this coming March.

In related news, Lu is currently facing difficulties after being pulled out of the CCTV New Year's Gala along with his fellow former EXO member Wu Yi Fan, more popularly known as Kris. Speculations say that CCTV decided to cancel their performances due to the sensitive nature of their conflict with SM Entertainment.
