TVB's upcoming historical drama 'Empress Lu' has made yet another change in its cast members, with Hong Kong actress Tavia Yeung stepping in to take on the titular role, replacing Charmaine Sheh.
It has initially been announced that Hong Kong actress and 2014 TV Queen Charmaine Sheh will be playing the role of Empress Lu in the new costume drama produced by TVB, and has even joined the cast in their appearance at the TVB Sales Presentation last year.

However, the production crew made a surprising announcement, stating that Yeung will be replacing Sheh for the titular role.
No explanation has been given. However, rumor has it that the 'Line Walker' star is unsatisfied with some matters regarding the production.
According to media reports, Sheh was allegedly unsatisfied with her co-stars which consist mostly of TVB's B-list stars including Raymong Wong and Steven Cheung.
Sources have also stated that the 39-year old actress asked for more well-known cast members, her reason being the possibility that she might carry whole drama on her own.
Furthermore, speculations also say that the actress is not too confident working with Producer Lee Tim Sing, the same name behind the production of the dramas 'Bullet Brain' and 'Noblesse Oblige', both of which only received less-than-stellar reception.
Sheh has not stepped forward to react about the issue, but what is known as of now is that her supposed role was handed over to Yeung.
The 'Noblesse Oblige' actress is set to play the role of the empress alongside Steven Cheung who also replaced Ron Ng for the role of Prince Zhao. Raymond Wong will be portraying Emperor Gao.
In related news, this isn't the first that the production of 'Empress Lu' is met with delays.
The drama originally scheduled its production back in 2011, but they have been forced to delay after Maggie Cheung, the original actress slated to play the role, left TVB.
