Comic genius John Oliver won't be taking over Jon Stewart's stint on The Daily Show.
Jon Stewart announced his plans of retiring from the The Daily Show later this year, which stirred fans to speculate who would succeed him, after he steps down as the Comedy Central show's host.

It is sure that The Daily Show won't be shelved at all so names have started to circulate as the front-runner for Stewart's role.
John Oliver was the most popular celebrity believed to be the one who could actually match Stewart's prowess, thanks to his hilarious nature, smart and witty lines on the news during HBO's Last Week Tonight.
However, it's apparent that Oliver is not the guy to step into Stewart's after E! News found out that HBO has renewed Last Week Tonight With John Oliver for at least one more season.
HBO President Michael Lombardo already told the press that Last Week's seasons three and four pickups have already been lined up. Each season will consist of 35 shows each. Season 3 is slated for airing in 2016 to be followed by season 4 in 2017.
"We are incredibly proud to have John as part of the HBO family," Lombardo says.
He praised Oliver for his "unique ability to deliver socially significant commentary," not to mention his peerless "comedic brilliance" that makes him a league of his own.
On the other hand, there's still no solid news as who will take over Stewart's role on The Daily Show.
