When Chris Martin and Jennifer Lawrence arrived together at Harry Style's lavish 21^st birthday party, they caused a lot of interest and excitement.

The couple started dating in the summer of the past year, so despite causing a bit of a stir, it was not a surprise to many, maybe except for Chris Martin's ex-girlfriend, Alexa Chung.

The 31-year old model, who was also at Harry's birthday party, dated Chris for a few months after he split with actress Gwyneth Paltrow and when she saw the couple together at the same party, she was reportedly upset.

The contributing editor at British Vogue was said to be distraught and "totally thrown" when she personally saw the romance between the Hunger Games star and Chris.

A source shared that Alexa had not seen the musician since the last time they dated and was totally thrown when Jennifer and Chris walked in holding hands. The source added that Alexa, "avoided them all night and got a little upset in front of friends, saying how hard it was to see Chris with someone else." 

But it was not just about seeing Martin with somebody else. It was also about seeing the couple flaunt their PDA.

An insider revealed that Alexa felt hurt because Chris and Jennifer were very "tactile" with each other. When Jennifer talked to other friends, Alexa took the opportunity to say hello to Chris but revealed to pals that it was not anything but awkward.

On the upside, at least none of Chris and Jennifer's exes had to see them be "lovey-dovey" with each other on Valentine's Day.

Chris spent the special day with his kids Apple and Moses, and ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow.

As reported by a source, the family spent several hours on the beach, although Chris spent most of his time with the kids, while Gwyneth stayed with her friends. The source continued, "He [Chris] is a great dad and very patient." 

As for Jennifer, she was in Boston that weekend to work on her new film, Joy. Unfortunately, filming was put on hold when the snow hit.
