An Israeli judge ordered him placed under house arrest after he was released from hospital. Khdeir is from Tampa, Florida.
A Jerusalem court has ordered house arrest for the American teenager who was arrested Thursday and reportedly beaten up while in the custody of Israeli security forces.
The 15-year-old, Tariq Khdeir, was released from the hospital Sunday, paid bail, and was driven away by his parents to serve nine days under house arrest in their Beit Hanina neighbourhood.

Tariq was visiting relatives in Jerusalem when he was detained while at a protest following the death of his cousin, 16-year-old Mohammed Abu Khdeir, who was found dead Wednesday in a forested area near Jerusalem.
As he walked out of court Sunday, Tariq said he was "attacked by police" and woke up in the hospital.
Police will continue investigating his case, and if the investigation ends without charges, Tariq can travel back to the United States.
Tariq goes to school in Florida.
His parents said they will definitely sue Israeli authorities, and that they were not happy with the court's decision.
U.S. State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki has spoken about the incident, calling for a "speedy, transparent and credible investigation and full accountability for any excessive use of force."
Meanwhile, Israeli police announced the arrest of several Israelis suspected of involvement in the killing of Abu Khdeir.
Police spokeswoman Micky Rosenfeld tweeted that investigation was continuing, and there is a "strong indication" that the killing was a "nationalistic incident."
Abu Khdeir's death followed the discovery of the bodies of three Israeli teenagers who had been missing for two weeks before they were found.
The victims were reported as abducted while on the way home from school in the West Bank.
