The start-up entrepreneur finalists will be selected by Dell's committee on Center for Entrepreneur.

There are two criteria for joining the Founders Club 50: Companies have to be prepared on rapid growth and view technology as an important part to their success.

Joyce Mullen, vice president and general manager at Dell, said that finalists must meet those two criteria.

Dell's program improves the credibility and helps the companies with its technology needs according to Philo, a company which renders live television to mobile devices using local broadband networks and users can record the program for later viewing.

Christopher Thorpe, chief executive of Philo, said that they use hardware from Dell to convert TV signals from satellite into suitable stream devices.

He added, "We encrypt that to keep it secure, and we have servers that implement the web experience."

Once the finalists are accepted to the start-up program, they will gain access to different consulting resources to help them in planning and building their technology equipment.

Mullen said companies will need to have different kinds of technology solutions as their businesses grow. They can also have an access to capital financing via Dell Innovators Credit Fund.

Dell will provide mentors who are affiliated from potential company partners.

Dell will have two 50-start up classes every year and they are now accepting applications for the class this fall.
