Karlie Kloss has decided to give up her wings and leave Victoria's Secret after just two years. 

Karlie has been a staple on the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show since she made her debut in 2011 and officially became one of the Angels in 2013 - however, after two short years with the lingerie brand, the supermodel has decided to hang up her angel wings to free some of her time up so she can focus on other commitments, as well as college.

Victoria's Secret's senior creative, Ed Razek also confirmed the news by saying that she and Karlie met a few months ago and talked about the things she wanted to pursue in her career and life and added that with all the things Karlie wanted to do, it would be impossible to have enough time to accomplish all of them if she stays with the brand. Thus, Razek said in his statement, "Reluctantly, we agreed she would leave the brand at the end of her contract."

Razek continued to say that Karlie is a very dear friend of his and someone that he truly admires and loves and praised her by saying that she is "one of the best models ever." He concluded that Karlie "will always be an Angel to me."

Although many of her fans are sad to not see her on future Victoria's Secret fashion show, some of them were not surprised by the news - especially because Karlie is doing so many projects these days.

A source close to the 22-year old model revealed to Hollywood Life that on top of her modeling jobs, she is also currently attending school and explained that with all of Karlie's obligations in school, continuing to work for Victoria's Secret will simply just would not fit in her schedule. "Contractually, it just didn't work," the source said.

Fans should not worry too much though, because even if Karlie decided to work on other projects and focus on school, that does not mean that she cannot come back to walk in the Victoria's Secret runway show. The source claimed that it is still possible that Karlie will come back!
