Drugs were early on eliminated as the cause of Bobbi Kristina Brown's condition, however, according to People magazine, the young woman was said to be using drugs moments before she was found face down and unconscious in her bathtub.

The magazine reported that singers Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston's only daughter was regularly using drugs like cocaine, heroine and prescription drugs such as Xanax months before she was rushed to a hospital and placed in a medically induced coma.

In an eerily same manner, the 21-year old's mother's system was also found with traces of Xanax after she drowned in the bathtub while staying at a Beverly Hills Hotel last February 11, 2012.

A source revealed to People that Bobbi Kristina was distressed during the weeks leading up to her mother's third death anniversary. Since the death of her mother, the aspiring actress and singer also frequently stayed in rehab to treat her addiction, including alcoholism. After Whitney passed away, Bobbi Kristina became depressed that she had to be hospitalized.

The source claimed, "This girl was trying hard, but she didn't have any support system," the source continued, "She was still dealing with a lot of grief over her mother."

Bobbi Kristina, who was found by boyfriend Nick Gordon and a friend, is reportedly still in critical condition.

She remains in a medically induced coma since January 31. Family members including her father Bobby Brown and her grandmother, Cissy Houston are continuously staying at her bedside and holding vigils as they pray and wait for a miracle.

However, medical experts have reportedly warned the family that being in a long-term coma will most likely to cause other medical issues such as pneumonia, bladder infections and blood clots.
