U.S. security officials have disclosed they arrested a man at Detroit Metropolitan Airport after finding a knife concealed inside the bottom lining of his shoes.
In an email to FoxNews.com, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) said they discovered the knife on Sunday during an airport security check.

"TSA officers detected an artfully concealed knife inside a passenger's shoe during a checkpoint screening at approximately 7:22 a.m. on Sunday," according to the statement.
The TSA also added that the knife should have been placed in the luggage during check-in.
U.S. airports have tightened security after U.S. intelligence officials confirmed new Al Qaeda efforts to make a bomb that can pass through airport security undetected. The intelligence report prompted the TSA to implement stricter measures to secure all airports across the country.
So far, there is no information that such undetectable bomb has been created, and there is no specific threat to the U.S.
Jeh Johnson, Homeland Security Department Secretary, has recently ordered the TSA to perform additional security measures at U.S. international airports that have direct flights to the country.
In a Sunday interview on NBC's "Meet The Press," Johnson preferred not to speculate on whether new security measures for overseas screening criteria need to be put in place.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, a Homeland Security Department official said the TSA is capable of setting screening criteria and process overseas flights bound to the U.S. even if airport security officials abroad do not conduct screenings.
In the U.S., airports use imaging technology to screen passengers for weapons, explosives and other banned items hidden under clothing. All carry-on baggage goes through X-ray inspection equipment that uses Advanced Technology.
According to the TSA, every day close to 2 million passengers and their luggage have to submit to safety and security checks.
