Netflix is now hiring people to watch movies and categorize them according to genre.
Netflix, an online streaming media, is offering a position called Tagger. Taggers need to evaluate the genre and the type of movie content in order to find out what viewers might want to watch next. The Taggers’ responsibility helps Netflix improve their movie type suggestions to the viewers.

Netflix’s Tagger position is based in Ireland and United Kingdom.
Movie suggestions vary from Critically-Acclaimed to Emotional Underdog films. Netflix wants the Tagger to be intimately familiar with its vast movie and TV show collections.
Netflix's promotional video for the position explains that Taggers should have an analytical mind in order to get the most important details out of the movies which can help in categorizing the films.
According to Netflix, Taggers can work at home with a flexible working time. The position also requires people who are experienced enough and possess a keen eye for detail. It would best fit applicants who have a passion for films, writing movie reviews, or someone who has a film degree.
Todd Yellin, Netflix’s Vice President for product innovation, said that each applicant should pass the movie test to prove that he or she is worth the position. Yellin said in an interview with Canada.com, an online Canadian news website, that he uses the film Fantastic Mr. Fox for the movie test.
Currently, Netflix has only 40 Taggers in the world. Most of the Taggers are Los-Angeles based and the others come from different parts of the globe.
However, Netflix didn’t disclose the salary for Taggers but it would be on a weekly basis.
