LG has introduced four mid-range phones for the Android 5.0 Lollipop version a few days ahead of the Mobile World Congress.

Each of the smartphone lines is available in 3G and LTE. The 3G can be distinguished by its rear plastic cover while the LTE has metal instead.

The four new mid-range smartphones do look similar but they don't share the same capabilities.

The most powerful of the four and the largest is the Magna with a 5 inch HD screen. Depending on your location, the processor is a Quad-core running at either 1.2 or 1.3 GHz.  RAM is 1 GB while its internal storage is 8 GB.

The rear camera is an 8 MP while the front snapper is a 5 MP.  LG asserts the 2,540mAh removable battery can stand one day of heavy use without recharging.

The second most powerful of the quartet is the Spirit. The specs are almost the same with the Magna. But it has a smaller screen at 4.7 inches.

It boasts the same type of processor, RAM and internal storage. It can have either a rear camera at 8 MP or 5 MP but the front camera will only be 1 MP.  The battery is also removable but has a lower capacity of 2,100mAh.

The third smartphone, Leon, has had its screen has been reduced to 4.5 inches.  It shares some of the same specs with the other two. While the rear camera can either have the 8 MP or 5 MP, the front camera is of VGA quality. The removable battery is considerably less powerful at 1,900mAh.

The last of the four smartphones released is also the least powerful in specs and capabilities. Joy has the smallest screen, a WVGA display of 4 inches.

The processor can be a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core or Dual-Core depending on your region. Joy can either have 512 MB or 1 GB RAM.

Internal storage ranges from 4 GB up to 8 GB. It has 5 MP rear camera and the front is VGA.  Battery is only 1,900mAh, the same as Leon.
