Pebble is ready for the Apple Watch, launching its third consumer smartwatch -- the Pebble Time - Feb. 24 on Kickstarter to roaring success.

Pebble Time features a color e-paper display with Gorilla Glass and a stainless steel bezel. It's not only a sturdy smartwatch, but water resistant for a dunk in the pool or a quick run in the rain.

Design wise, Pebble has also made it possible for users to remove the strap and replace it with any other 22 mm strap. Customers will be able to choose between red, black and white for the color options. One is limited to Kickstarter backers.

Internally, Pebble Time doesn't feature many changes and still holds a seven day battery life. Kickstarter doesn't give any information on new health sensors, meaning Pebble is still focused on notification management.

In this area, Pebble Time offers a new feature to wow users called Timeline. It allows users to quickly check all notifications using the three buttons on the side: one for past, one for present and one for future notifications.

This means users can check the football score in the past; check the weather in current and check next week's events in future, all with the click of a button. For replying to notifications, Pebble Time also features an in-built microphone with voice dictation for replying.

Pebble claims it will offer the new smartwatch "to people" and not overprice the gadget like "some competitors". Pebble Time will start at $179  and there's a limited number of units available on Kickstarter, already selling out early bird units.

Pebble Time is likely to be the most popular Kickstarter ever, already reaching over $6 million in under 24 hours. At this rate, Pebble might make over $20 million on the project but is limited by how much stock it can make before May 2015.
