PYONGYANG: North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was seen last Tuesday with a limp and what appears to be a minor scar on his face.
A rare footage of him appeared last week on state TV as he attended a ceremony in Pyongyang commemorating his grandfather, Kim Il Sung's 20th death anniversary.

Kim Il Sung is hailed as the father of modern North Korea.
In the video, as Kim was going towards the mausoleum, he was seen limping as he paid his respects and then bowed reverently in front of the massive statues of his grandfather Kim Il Sung and his father, Kim Jong Il.
Questions about his health have resurfaced again after Kim, 31, was seen limping during the ceremony.
This public video has clearly shown Kim's mysterious limp even if it was seen just for a few moments.
Any kind of weakness shown in public by North Korean leaders is extremely rare.
Throughout their regime, the Kim family has been portrayed by the state media with a god-like reverence.
The supreme leader wore a gloomy expression as he was also seen limping again where he paid a midnight visit at the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, where the embalmed bodies of his father and grandfather were laid to rest.
A government official claims that Kim could be suffering from a sprained ankle or some back and knee problems due to his obesity.
Since mid-June, Kim was doing his regular field round visits of military bases that may have caused this condition.
South Korean media have always speculated about the health of North Korea's supreme leader.
Apart from his obvious limping, the scar on his forehead may be the result of a plastic surgery as he aims to appear more similar to the likeness of his grandfather.
Ailments and sickness have always been part of the family's health history.
Kim Il Sung died in 1994 due to a large tumor that was allegedly inoperable at the back of his neck. Media were forbidden to film him in different angles.
Kim Jong Il died in 2011, where he was also last seen in 2008 limping in public after a stroke.
