Exciting news for Lady Gaga's little monsters, as the mother monster was just cast in the upcoming and fifth season of American Horror Story, as confirmed by FX on Wednesday.

Lady Gaga also took Twitter to announce the very thrilling news by posting a video, which gives fans a peek of the next season's theme, American Horror Story: Hotel.

It is still uncertain what Lady Gaga's role is going to be or what the premise of the fifth installment of the horror television series is, especially that the anthology series changes its storylines, as well as location every season.

No other cast for the fifth season has been announced. American Horror Story mainstays Emma Roberts and Sarah Paulson are currently working on their own respective projects from Ryan Murphy. Sarah joins the American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, while Emma will appear in Fox's Scream Queens, a horror-comedy series, alongside Lea Michele and Jamie Lee Curtis.

The announcement of Lady Gaga's first television role comes after she received so many rave reviews for her Oscar performance of several songs from "The Sound of Music." Aside from being cast in the hit series, the 28-year old is also scheduled to go on tour with 88-year old singer Tony Bennett for the next few months.

Seems like 2015 is Lady Gaga's year! Aside from her expanding career, she just recently said "yes" to Chicago Fire star Taylor Kinney's marriage proposal. After being engaged for just over a week, Lady Gaga has reportedly already started planning their wedding and wants to tie the knot at her Malibu mansion.

American Horror Story: Hotel, produced by Brad Falchuk and Ryan Murphy is set to premiere on October.
