Chinese President Xi Jinping calls for a more prosperous China as he unveiled his new political slogans called the "Four Comprehensives," the People's Daily reported recently.
The four comprehensives take after the slogans launched by the predecessors of Xi such as Hu Jintao, who announced his own slogans dubbed as the "Three Supremes", and Jian Zemin who had his "Three Represents."

The first three of Xi's slogans are reportedly based on the political theories of the former rulers of the country but his fourth slogan is something new.
Xi's Four Comprehensives are as follows: Comprehensively build a moderately prosperous society, Comprehensively deepen reform, Comprehensively govern the nation according to law, and Comprehensively strictly govern the Party.
The fourth slogan is reportedly in reference to "Fox Hunt," Xi's anti-corruption drive which started in 2012. Analysts are saying that this slogan might be focused on the elimination of the political rivals of Xi rather than the campaign against corruption, since there were many senior officials and past government officials who were already captured and hunted down.
The newly-announced slogans sum up Xi's approach to governing the country and is likely to be his mark in the Communist Party. His announcement comes ahead of the annual meeting to be held this March in Beijing where the National People's Congress, the Committee of the People's Political Consultative Conference, and an advisory body will be discussing the policies of China implemented all over the country.
The formulation of the Four Comprehensives is also one step towards the ideal called "Chinese Dream" that Xi introduced a year after being in office. This idea strives for a moderately prosperous society with strong national economy, and political and military power.
