Mircosoft is working on an Android-powered phone that will probably be released on the company's flagship Lumia line.
Microsoft's acquisition of once dominant Nokia last April for US$7.2 billlion gave Microsoft its sought after bridgehead in the handset market dominated by Apple and Samsung. The acquisition also gave Microsoft the means to boost the market share of its Windows Phone.

The market hasn't seen things Microsoft's way, however. Lackluster sales of Lumia handsets cost Microsoft a large chunk of its already small market share.
Stop-gap measures to repair the damage such as providing customers with a customized version of Android system failed. Microsoft has finally given-up on its Band Aid fixes in favor of promoting a pure Android-powered Nokia Lumia smartphone.
Microsoft's decision to go all in with a Lumia Android phone is expected to boost its sales because Android already has a very huge user-base and an unbeatable app store.
Android owns over 70 percent of the market for smartphone operating systems. Windows Phone has only a three percent market share.
The market is becoming curious as to what the new Android-powered Nokia Lumia looks like. Well, let's wait and watch.
