Imagine Dragons Lands No. 1 On Billboard's Top 200 Charts; Taylor Swift Drops To No. 5

After over three months of reigning supreme on the top 200 charts, Taylor Swift has finally given way, with Imagine Dragons landing the top of the Billboard 200 after their second LP, Smoke and Mirrors, rose on the top spot, selling 195,000 units, giving the "Radioactive" act their biggest selling week ever! Their debut album, Night Visions, peaked at No.2, and sold 83,000 in September 2013 opening. The album sold over 2.5 million copies so far.

Billboard revealed that Night Visions hasn't actually left the Billboard 200 since its release 129 weeks ago. It has just recently spent two weeks away from the top 100 and this week it landed at No. 20.
Last week's topnotch and so far 2015's best selling album by Drake, If You're Reading This It's Too Late dropped to Number Two, selling 187,000 copies. The album has sold 495,000 copies on its first four days after its debut.
Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack, which debuted at No. 2 last week, dropped to third spot.
Taylor Swift's album, 1989, rose to No. 4 after it slipped to No. 5 last week adding 93,000 units to its two million plus sales so far. Taylor Swift has never dropped down further than No. 2 since its launch in October 2014, until last week, when it placed fifth.
Ed Sheeran's X rounded up the top 5, while Sam Smith's In the Lonely Hour, whose sales rose following its Grammy win, has landed the sixth spot.
