Shailene Woodley Speaks Candidly About Nudity and Sex in New Interview with Glamour Magazine

If Shailene Woodley has a sex scene, you can bet that she's going to strip her clothes off and do it naked.

The 23-year old actress opened up to Glamour magazine, in which she is featured posing in nothing but jeans or her underwear, showing off her toned and stunning figure, and discussed onscreen nudity.

Shailene revealed that she has no problems with nudity and is totally comfortable with it. "I'm not sure it empowers me as an actress or anything, but if I'm going to do a movie with sex scenes, then I'm going to be naked, because I don't know about you, but I don't have sex with bras and panties on," she said.

The star of the upcoming film, Insurgent also spoke out about why she prefers Europeans' attitude towards sex. She explained that in Europe, embracing your sexuality is no big deal. She then went on to say that even if a woman goes to a topless beach, men will not be checking out her boobs, because in Europe, "they're just boobs."

"[In America] sex is something that's not talked about--yet it's in our faces more than anything else. In school, rather than teach you about sex, they tell you about abstinence, which doesn't work," she explained.

Shailene is about to be seen on the big screen once again, after reprising her role as Tris in the Divergent series.

Following "Divergent," Tris, along with Theo James' character Four are on the run from Jeanine, who is played by Kate Winslet and other Erudites. Together they go to Chicago and search for allies.

Though Shailene and Kate are enemies in the movie, Shailene revealed that Kate sent her a touching email and treats her like a little sister who has her back.

Signing on for the Divergent series meant that she missed her chance to play one of 50 Shades of Grey's lead characters Anastasia Steele, though she was not disappointed since she was not really interested in the movie.

She admitted that she did read the book but simply thought that if somebody is able to pull it off and successfully make a movie about it, "they will be the biggest genius."
