Online gaming store Valve announced it will unveil its Steam Controller to be used on upcoming Steam Machines.

Aside from the controller, Valve will also show its mysterious SteamVR hardware system at the Game Developers Conference next month. The announcement was made at the company's blog along with other details about Valve's itinerary at the GDC.

Valve boasts it's also going to present "new living room devices" at the conference.

Valve is seeking partnerships with VR game developers to provide content for its VR gaming platforms. It has already partnered Virtual Reality gear maker Oculus to create and develop various VR projects.

The company is inviting interested VR game developers to check out their VR system at the GDC, which will be held in San Francisco from March 4 to 6.

In 2014, Oculus provided the headset that was used in beta VR testing of several games such as "Team Fortress 2."

In late 2013, Valve released the Linux-based SteamOS and collaborated with several computer manufacturers to create a dedicated Steam Machine. Valve was supposed to present the controller the following year to complete the Steam game platform.

The release date for both Steam machine and controller was delayed, however. The online store also decided not to push through with a second conference of Steam developers. None of its products were shown at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Expo.

Virtual reality technologies in games are starting to attract major players. Sony will unveil its own VR head gear at the conference. Oculus VR, which is owned by Facebook, will attend to support Valve and showcase its own products, as well.

Valve issued a statement that it will present demos using the Steam Controller and SteamVR hardware platform.
