Jennifer Lawrence and the director of her upcoming film Joy allegedly had a screaming match last Tuesday.
As reported by TMZ, a source revealed that the 24-year old actress and O'Russel were seen screaming and hurling profanities at each other on the set, which is located in Boston.

TMZ claims that the argument started because Lawrence wasn't happy with the way O'Russel was directing the scene. Mail Online has reached out to Lawrence's representative for a comment but has yet to provide a statement.
However, a rep for Fox 2000, the studio which handles the movie, clarified the issue to TMZ and said that the screaming matches were simply method acting.
He explained that the 56-year old director was provoking Lawrence to simply help her get ready for a scene, in which she had to heatedly shout at another actor.
O'Russel also made headlines recently due to an argument with a Fox Executive--while the studio confirmed the news, they shot down the rumors that the director made her cry.
Two days after the supposed argument, Lawrence was spotted in Boston walking to the set of the movie.
Joy marks the third film of O'Russel and Lawrence working together. The first one was Silver Linings Playbook, in which Lawrence took home the Oscar's Best Actress Award and the second was American Hustle, in which she earned a nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
Joy is based on the true story of Joy Mangano (the character which Lawrence plays), a single mom, struggling to provide for her family when she found success after inventing the Miracle Mop.
The movie, which also stars Bradley Cooper is set to premiere on December 25 of this year.
