The ultra-expensive, US$150,000-handmade, pearl-covered dress stolen from Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o was finally found on Friday. Reports revealed that it was found in the bathroom of the same Hollywood hotel where it went missing. A tipster called gossip site TMZ claiming he was the thief telling the dress has been returned.

The self-confessed thief admitted that he returned the dress he found out it was worthless and wanted the whole world to know that "Hollywood's fake bulls**t," a report from TMZ can tell.
The anonymous caller found Nyong'o's hotel room door was slightly open and managed to effortlessly grab the dress. The thief, together with a friend, took two pearls from the dress and took it to LA's garment district to have it valued, only to find out they were actually fake.
Academy Award-winner Nyong'o was already in New York while the fruitless search for the head-turning pearl gown continued in Hollywood.
TMZ immediately called the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department, who rushed to the hotel and found the dress inside a garbage bag in the bathroom next to the hotel's fitness center.
Hollywood insiders actually raised eyebrows at the US$150,000 price tag of the glamorous dress, arguing that the dress is actually worth more.
The Calvin Klein dress was made with 6,000 white pearls and worn by Nyong'o at the Oscars last Sunday.
Dresses like this are just worn once and then displayed for keepsake at the designer's archives.
Investigators were actually clueless as to who could have done the heist.
