After the successful launch of GoPro Hero 4 Black and Silver that received  positive reviews and sales that surpassed its predecessors, a rumor about the release date, specifications and features of a possible Hero 5 has surfaced on the internet.

Although GoPro hasn't yet issued statement regarding this new device or whether it's are working on it, consumers are already expecting the upcoming product to be more better than Hero 4.

GoPro Hero 4 was launched mid-2014 with and sold an estimated 2.4 million units sold, as per reported by Ecumenical News. The series Hero 4 dismayed people who bought it.

They've also been complaining about issues they've experienced such as a hard time getting firmware updates, the game freezing while recording, battery getting hot and screen lines.

With the rumors of Hero 5 coming this 2015, consumers are anticipating a new improved Hero series device with a dual lens setup with 3D capability; waterproofing that will allow taking photos and videos underwater; long powerful battery life and a striking frame rate of about 60 frames per second. Consumers also expect issues with the previous versions are already fixed.

If Hero 4 Silver and Black with a 4k video resolution and 30 frames per second cost about US$400 and US$500, respectively. Hero 5 is expected to have 4k to 8k resolution that might cost a little higher, The Christian Post reported.
