A few days ago, Takeshi Kaneshiro, a famous Japanese-Taiwanese movie star who has not shown up in public for a long time, was photographed looking worn-down, with a double chin and a rounder face as he was filming an airline commercial in Paris. The photo caused much criticism from netizens and fans.

Many fans commented sadly: "He is no longer my Kaneshiro." "It's better to cherish the memory of him than meeting him now." It is absolutely a true saying that time and tide wait for no man.
However, some fans were quick to come to protect their idol, saying that his weight gain was caused by the filming period. When asked about Takeshi Kaneshiro's latest look, his manager Yao Yijun denied allegations of the actor's weight gain, saying, "Takeshi still maintains his rigorous training and regularly takes part in outdoor activities. It is natural for the body to change as we age. You can't expect him to look 20 years old forever."
Many stars may choose to benefit from micro aesthetic surgery to diminish the signs of age beneath. Yao Yijun stressed that Takeshi Kaneshiro was not interested in aesthetic surgery at all. "He believes that natural look is the best."
Takeshi Kaneshiro also responded through his studio: "I want to do some worthier things for the society instead of just entertaining the public with a fake handsome face."
